You can substitute other fish for the Bream, but may need to vary the cooking time depending on the size. Sea Bass, Salmon and Trout are good substitutes.
Ingredients
- 6 450 g Black Bream cleaned
- 200 g thick plain yoghurt
- 2 tsp cumin seeds roasted and crushed
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 plump cloves garlic peeled and crushed
- 1/4 tsp hot chilli powder
- 1/2 lime juice only
- crunchy salad leaves to serve
- lime wedges to serve

- Preheat the oven to 220 C Fan 210 Gas 7. Cut a couple of diagonal slashes across the sides of each fish with a sharp knife.
- Combine the remaining ingredients and season well with salt and pepper. Rub over and inside the fish.
- Space the fish out on an oiled baking sheet and cook for about 20 minutes until browned and crisp.
- Serve with the salad and a raita or pachadi.
