This is another cake to serve cut into small pieces to accompany drinks as an alternative to Le Cake au Herbs. Alternatively it could be served alongside a meat or vegetable stew . Leftovers can be toasted and eaten as they are, or topped with some fried mushrooms and Greek yoghurt. You can add herbs for variation if wished. The recipe is from Sophie Grigson’s ” Sophies Table”.

A delicious supper that only takes a few minutes to prepare from ” Cook” by Thomasina Miers. Vacherin cheese is seasonal and only available from late November to mid February making this a lovely supper for winter nights. Serve with a crisp green salad and ripe pears, apples and walnuts to eat between mouthfuls of cheese.
Lemon Roasted Feta with Tomatoes (2-4)

A colourful dish for summer which i like to make using cherry tomatoes from ” A Modern Way to Eat” by Anna Jones.You could also serve the roasted feta in a greek salad or crumbled over roasted squash. This will serve two as a main or four as part of a meal. Sometimes i serve this with some home made oven chips, or with warmed pittas or crusty bread to mop up the juice. You could also serve a green salad alongside.
