These crostini from ” Nigellisimma” by Nigella Lawson are delicious served with drinks before a supper.
Ingredients
- 1 baguette or a packet Lingue di Suocera biscuits
- 200 g cooked crabmeat half white, half brown
- zest and juice of 1 unwaxed lemon
- 1 red chilli deseeded and finely chopped
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
- If you are using a baguette into 1 cm slices and brush with garlic oil. Arrange on a wire rack above an oven tray and bake in preheated 200 c oven for 5-7 minutes a side. Leave to cool.
- Check the white crabmeat carefully for pieces of shell, then put all the crabmeat in a bowl and add the zest and juice of the lemon.
- Add the chilli and chopped parsley and stir to mix. ( you can now cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours if you like- stir again before using)
- Spread a scant tsp onto the toasts or crackers, then serve with drinks.
