A good standby for many dishes from ” Alice’s Cook Book” by Alice Hart. It should be kept in the fridge until needed and used within a few weeks.

Instructions
  1. Put all the ingredients into a saucepan and set over a very gentle heat. Warm through for about 15 minutes. It should not sizzle at any point.
  2. Strain into sterilised jam jars and keep in the fridge.
