Another delicious summer dessert from ” Cook Simple” by Diana Henry. You can add blackberries or blackcurrants to the cooked fruit before serving if you like.My friend Angela has made this using port instead of the red wine and this worked very well too. Serve with a big bowl of sweetened Mascarpone cheese mixed with Greek Yoghurt.

Mussels with Curry Cream Sauce (2)

This is from ” Belgo Cookbook” by Denis Blais and Andre Plisnier. Its a great source for recipes for Mussels ( and indeed other Belgian dishes) so if you eat shellfish and love them as much as i do I recommend hunting out a copy. Mussels are packed with minerals. high in protein and low in saturated fats so one of the healthiest foods you can eat. Enjoy.
