Spaghetti Scoglio (6)

When I lived in Stoke Newington I would occasionally visit a long established Italian Restaurant on Church Street called Il Bacio. Spaghetti Scoglio, a seafood pasta dish from Sardinia was what i usually ordered.  It was a bit messier than this to eat as the seafood was served in its shells, which you can of course do if prefered!  This version is from Claudia Roden.

Black Bean Chilli (4)

A vegetarian chilli from the fast food restaurant Leon. I think black beans or kidney beans work best but white beans could also be used if thats all you have in the cupboard. Serve it with rice or jacket potato. You can add a number of optional extras such as soured cream, tomato salsa, guacamole and grated cheese.

Riverford Romanesco Pasta (2)

Romanesco cauliflower is  described as tasting like a cross between broccoli and cauliflower but with a nuttier flavour. This is my adaptation  of a recipe provided by the Riverford Organic Box scheme which operates in the UK.Its also good with purple sprouting broccoli instead of the romanesco. The original recipe can also be found online if preferred.
