With Thanksgiving a couple of days ago and Christmas on the horizon I thought it would be timely to post a recipe for leftover Turkey. Its from Nigella Lawson’s ” Nigella’s Christmas”, but she credits the original version to her friend and agent Ed Victor. It goes well with a baked potato and green salad.
This version from Nigella Lawson’s ” Nigellissima” uses fresh tomatoes rather than the tinned tomatoes used in the recipe for Pizzaiola Steak on this site. You can use humanely reared rose veal as an alternative to steak if you like.
Another delicious recipe from ” New Kitchen Basics” by Bristol based chef and food writer Claire Thomson. It is my go to cookbook of the moment and everything i have cooked from it is tasty and relatively easy. You can use sweet potato instead of the squash if you like.
This is from Delia Smith’s ” Winter Collection” and is great because it provides a meal for four cooked mostly in one pot. You could serve some green beans, or perhaps a green salad alongside,
This pasta salad recipe is from one of my favourite vegetarian cookbooks ” The Greens Cook Book” by Deborah Madison and Edward Espe Brown. Green’s Restaurant is in San Francisco.
