Duck eggs are rich and creamy, and make the best scrambled eggs. This can be served for breaffast or brunch, or even for a light evening meal. The recipe is from ” Sirocco” by Sabrina Ghayour.
A very good chicken pie from ” The Weekend Cook” by Angela Hartnett. If you have some good bacon or pancetta then throw this in too. Serve with boiled frozen peas.
A new favourite from ” The Weekend Cook” by Angela Hartnett. You need to use good sausages- ideally spicy Italian Sausages with fennel and chilli which can be bought in some supermarkets and Italian delicatessens. You can replace the peas with broad beans or leeks if you like.
A very good combination which I found in ” Gino’s Italian Express” by Gino D’Acampo. If you like the chicken could be replaced with veal. Serve with potatoes or rice, and a green vegetable or side salad.
