Instructions
  1. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan then heat to simmering point, stirring until all the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Keep it at barely simmering point for at least 20 minutes but do not allow to boil or the alcohol will evaporate.
  3. Serve warm in half pint mugs.
