Pear Chocolate crumble makes a nice dessert for a special occasion if you are not watching the calories! Especially as its best served with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Ingredients
- 1 kg ripe pears peeled, cored and chopped into 1 cm pieces
- 50 g light brown soft sugar
- 1 unwaxed lemon Juice reserved and zest grated
- 100 g milk chocolate roughly chopped
Crumble
- 100 g plain flour
- 50 g butter chilled and diced
- 50 g light soft brown sugar
- 50 g roasted hazlenuts roughly chopped

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 c and grease an ovenproof dish large enough to hold the crumble.
- Mix the pears, brown sugar, lemon zest and juice and half the chocolate together in a bowl and put into the ovenproof dish.
- To make the crumble add the flour , butter, sugar and hazelnuts to a food processor and pulse until just combined. Add the remaining chocolate and stir together.
- Spoon the crumble over the pears and press down lightly. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream.
