If you are using a baguette into 1 cm slices and brush with garlic oil. Arrange on a wire rack above an oven tray and bake in preheated 200 c oven for 5-7 minutes a side. Leave to cool.
Check the white crabmeat carefully for pieces of shell, then put all the crabmeat in a bowl and add the zest and juice of the lemon.
Add the chilli and chopped parsley and stir to mix. ( you can now cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours if you like- stir again before using)
Spread a scant tsp onto the toasts or crackers, then serve with drinks.
