Hot Dogs with Beer and Mustard Onions (6)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C, 180 Fan, Gas 6.
  2. Put the onions in a pan with the butter and oil and season. Cook and stir over a low heat for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the mustard seeds and demerara sugar. Add the thme leaves, pour in the ale. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until the onions are soft.
  4. While the onions cook sprinkle the baguettes with a little water and bake until warmed through. Slice into six.
  5. Heat the grill to high and rill the hot dogs for 4-5 minutes. Split the baguettes in half and pop in a hot dog. Top with the mustardy onions.
