  1. Spread the toast generously with butter and shake over a few drops of Worcestershire sauce. Stir the smoked mackerel fillets together with the cheese and cream. Add more cream if needed to make a creamy paste.
  2. Divide the mixture between two pieces of toast and flash under a heated grill until it starts to bubble. Top with the other two slices of toast. Cut each sandwich into four and eat immediately.
