If you are not so keen on boiled brussels sprouts this makes a great alternative to serve with your Christmas or Thanksgiving Turkey.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C gas Mark 4.
  2. Toss the butternut squash and the sprouts in the olive oil and season well. Tip into an oven dish and bake for 40-50 minutes until the vegetables are almost cooked.
  3. Remove from the oven and add the garlic, chilli and sage leaves and mix well. Return to the oven for 5-10 minutes before serving immediately.
