If you are not a fan of boiled Brussels then try cooking them this way from Fay Maschler’s ” Eating In”.
Ingredients
- 1 lb brussels sprouts trimmed to nice tight heads
- 3 tbsps vegetable oil
- sea salt
- 2 plump garlic cloves peeled and cut in slivers
- 1/2 inch piece ginger peeled and cut in thin strands
- black pepper
Servings:
Instructions
- Cut the sprouts into narrow shreds using a sharp knife.
- Heat the oil in a wok. When hot, add the sprouts and stir fry. Cover the wok for a minute so that the vegetable steams a little.
- Add the salt then the garlic and ginger. Continue to stir fry until the sprouts are tender but still crunchy. Add some freshly ground black pepper and serve immediately.
